The VISA Check Card is used as a debit/ATM card with funds being withdrawn from your share draft (checking) account. Access to your share savings is not allowed.
It is important that you understand the three ways you can use this card:
As an ATM card:
- Withdraw cash at any ATM machine anywhere.
- 4 FREE cash withdrawals per month, $1.00 for each use thereafter within the month.
- You will need to use a secure Personal Identification Number (PIN) number.
As a Credit Card:
- Please note, as with this card, when you say credit, it is not like a charge card where you will receive a monthly statement. Purchases will be taken directly from your share draft (checking account).
- You do not need a PIN number - instead you will receive a receipt that in most cases you will sign.
- There is unlimited usage of your VISA Check Card per month when you use it as a credit.
- This method offers a little more security in use since you are not exposing your PIN number and there are no additional fees for using it as much as you want.
As a Debit card:
- Pay for purchases at a grocery store, gas station, or wherever Debit cards are accepted.
- 4 FREE debit card uses per month, $1.00 for each use thereafter within the month.
- You can also ask the cashier to give you additional cash against the debit card at the time of your transaction.
- You will need to use your PIN number when using your VISA Check Card as a Debit card.
With the Starline telephone teller system, you can reach your accounts anytime day or night.
You can:
- Check your share and loan balances
- Make check withdrawals
- Transfer funds

- Inquire about cleared drafts
- Check on deposits and withdrawals
- Request tax information

To use Starline, you will need:
- Your account number as listed on your statement
- Your personal identification number (PIN). Your PIN is initially assigned by the credit union and can only be changed in writing. *
- A touch-tone telephone
The Starline friendly voice will guide you through your transactions. Changes to your account are made immediately, accurately and confidentially. Remember; don’t share your PIN with anyone.
*Your PIN is set as the last four digits of your social security number.
